MAHÓN HARBOUR

Mahón Harbour is one of the biggest natural ports in the Mediterranean sea. It’s situated on the small island of Menorca, in Spain. It’s one of my favourite places in Menorca.

Mahón Harbour is on the east coast of the island, next to the town of Mahón. It has beautiful clear waters, where you can have a relaxing swim in one of the many coves which are situated along the harbour. Very close to were we swim, there are a lot of restaurants where you can eat some of the typical food of the island such as fresh fish, shell-fish and fresh vegetables from the island.

If you like history, you can visit the English fortress of Sant Felip, where you can remember the battles of the past between English, French and Spanish armies. Near to Sant Felip, there is an island which in the past was used as a quarantine hospital, called Lazareto.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a relaxing place in the Mediterranean, Menorca is the place that you have to visit.
